This morning deputies and volunteers began a search of the area around Cosby Lake Park in Clay for 21-year-old Jacob Rentfrow.

Rentfrow had last been seen at his home in the 1800 block of Satterwhite Drive in Grayson Valley on Sunday night at about 11:00 pm. He was reported missing by his mother last night when she could not locate him. She reported that he had not been to work and had not picked up his paycheck.

While out searching for him, she located his car in the parking lot of Cosby Lake Park in Clay.

Deputies and volunteer searchers went to the park this morning to attempt to locate Rentfrow. A helicopter from ALEA was called in to aid in the search. Just before 3:00 pm this afternoon the crew of the helicopter spotted a body submerged in the water. The Sheriff’s Office Dive Team has been called in to recover the body.

The cause of death and positive identification will be determined by the medical examiner.
