The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Missing Persons case of 68-year-old Sterling Emanuel Jones. Mr. Jones was last heard from on Monday October 25, 2021. His last known location was in Scooba, Mississippi. It is uncharacteristic for Mr. Jones to go this long without contacting family members. The disappearance of Mr. Jones is suspicious in part, because he was traveling with a large some of money.
Detectives are looking for a vehicle believed to be involved in the disappearance of Mr. Jones. The vehicle is a green 2011 Infinity QX50 SUV with a personalized tag that reads “SIRNARD”. We are asking the public to be on the lookout for this vehicle and contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 if seen.
