Morning Shooting in Leaves One Dead in Western Jefferson County

At approximately 6:15 on Saturday, August 22, 2020, Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to a shooting with multiple victims in the area of Allison Bonnet Memorial Drive and Rutledge Drive near Hueytown.

Once on scene, deputies found four victim’s of gunshot wounds.  One of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene.  The other 3 victims were transported to local hospitals.  Their condition is not known at this time.

Detectives have been called to the scene and are currently interviewing multiple suspects.  The cause of the shooting is still under investigation.  Please avoid the area so that detectives can continue their investigation.  Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
