Narcotics and Weapon Seizure

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling in the 3600 block of Lioyd Noland Parkway, when he observed a 2018 Hyundia Sonata that was reported stolen from the Birmingham, Alabama area.  A 23-yar-old male suspect was taken into custody without incident.  The arrest also resulted in the seizure of narcotics and a weapon.

The suspect has been identified as: Nicholas Cardell Pritchett, age, 23.  Pritchett has been charged with Drug Trafficking; Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance; Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree; Receiving Stolen Property; Using False Identity to Avoid Arrest/Hindering Prosecution; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Felony Probation Violation.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.

Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, “Our deputies do an outstanding job of patrolling the streets of Jefferson County.  They work hard to keep our citizens safe.”

Weapon seized: A Ghost AR-15 Style Pistol

Narcotics seized: 56 grams of Methamphetamine; 103 grams of Marijuana; and 5 Hydrocodone pills
