Narcotics and Weapons Seizure

On April 16, 2025, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Sheriff’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team (SNET), executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of Avenue B Ensley.  A suspect fled on foot from the scene; however, he was quickly taken into custody without incident.  The search warrant resulted in an arrest and seizures.
Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, “This was another good day.  Dangerous narcotics and weapons were taken off the streets of Jefferson County.  The Jefferson Sheriff’s Office is working hard to keep our citizens safe.  I am especially thankful that no one was injured”
The suspect has been identified as: Lamar Kevontay Slaughter, III, age, 25.  Slaughter has been charged with Drug Trafficking.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.

Narcotics seized: 4.43 pounds of methamphetamine (2,008 grams); 10.8 grams of fentanyl; and 6.1 grams of marijuana products

Weapons seized: Two AR15 pistols; One Glock model 23 handgun affixed with an automatic conversion device commonly referred to as a “Switch”; One Glock Model 21pistol; and One Emperor Arms AR chambered in 12 gauge

Money seized: $3,595.00
