Narcotics and Weapons Seizure ***Additional Photo***

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, a member of the US Marshal Service Task Force along with members of the Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force, located a male suspect in the 9000 block of 14th Avenue North Birmingham, Alabama who was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for Drug Trafficking. An arrest was made, and a search warrant was executed that resulted in narcotics and weapons seizures.

The suspect has been identified as: Travarius Dewaunkalis Daniel, age, 44.  Daniel has been charged with Drug Trafficking; 2 Counts of Felony Failure to Appear; and 4 Counts of Misdemeanor Failure to Appear.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.

Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, “We are thankful for the relationships we have with our federal partners.  It is important for citizens to know that through teamwork and our collaborative efforts, law enforcement continue to work hard to fight crime in our communities”

Narcotics seized: 31.9 grams Heroin; 9.4 grams Oxycodone; 30.8 grams Methamphetamine; 12 grams Cocaine; 28 grams synthetic marijuana; 446 grams marijuana; and 90 grams Gabapentin

Weapons seized: Remington 700 .270; ATA Arms 12-gauge shotgun; Palmetto State AK 47 7.62X39; Glock 19 9mm; Smith and Wesson .38 Special; and Assorted Ammunition

Additional Items Seized: Digital Scales and narcotics packaging material
