On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division along with the Vestavia Hills Police Department’s Narcotics and SWAT teams executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Fulton Avenue SW. The search warrant concluded a long-term investigation into narcotics trafficking. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of two male suspects and the seizure of drugs and weapons.
Suspect #1 has been identified as: Duane Jennings, age, 49. Jennings has been charged with Drug Trafficking, which carries a bond of $50,000.00, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, which carries a bond of $10,000.00. Jennings has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #2 has been identified as: Terrence Pickett, age, 50. Pickett has been charged with Drug Trafficking, which carries a bond of $50,000.00; Trafficking in Illegal Drugs-Hydrocodone, which carries a bond of $50,000.00; and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, which carries a bond of $10,000.00. Picket has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.
Narcotics seized: 2.1 grams Cocaine; 1.1 grams crack cocaine; 30.9 grams Fentanyl; 12 grams Ecstasy; 9.3 grams methamphetamine; 2.8 grams marijuana; and 21.4 grams hydrocodone
Weapons seized: Baretta 9mm pistol; Remington .38 caliber pistol; and a Pioneer Arms AK47 7.62X39
