Narcotics and Weapons Seizure in Jefferson County

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators worked alongside the Drug Enforcement Administration Huntsville Field Division to carry out a joint narcotics operation in Birmingham, Alabama. Search warrants were executed at two locations: the 1100 block of 16th Avenue South and the 10 block of 4th Avenue North, with support from SWAT and other specialized units.

Sheriff Mark Pettway described the operation as successful in removing both a dangerous suspect and illegal drugs and weapons from the community.

The suspect has been identified as: Quadarius Henley, 33.  Henley has been charged with Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol.  Henley is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $275,000 bond.

Narcotics seized: 22.3g Fentanyl, 27.3g Methamphetamine, 79g marijuana, 5 Xanax pills, 1 Hydrocodone

Money seized: $7,797

Weapons seized:  AR15 Pistol, .22 caliber revolver, 38 caliber revolver, 9mm semi-automatic handgun, and a 45 caliber semi-automatic handgun

Additional Items Seized: Drug press, digital scale, 2 cell phones
