On Monday, July 14, 2025, due to numerous citizen complaints, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division, along with the SNET Unit conducted a proactive detail in the Bessemer area. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a White Chevy Tahoe in the 2700 block of 12th Avenue, Bessemer, Alabama. The traffic stop led to an arrest and seizure of narcotics.
The suspect has been identified as: Rodrico Antwon Files, age, 36. Files has been charged with Drug Trafficking with a $30,000.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Narcotics seized: 5 grams of Hydrocodone (78.5 in pills)
