Narcotics Search Warrant Leads to Two Arrests and Heroin Seizure

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division, Vice and Narcotics Unit, in coordination with SNET, conducted a traffic stop on a Hyundai Elantra in the area of Shades Creek Parkway and Durham Drive in Birmingham.

Detectives subsequently executed a narcotics search warrant, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of narcotics.

Suspects:

  • Jerrell Markeis Anderson, 21, was arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking.  Anderson was issued a $10,000 bond and has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.
  • Dajah Simone Truss, 19, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Truss was issued a $5,000 bond and has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.

Narcotics seized: 6 grams of Heroin
