On Thursday, September 3, 2026, detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division, Vice and Narcotics Unit, in coordination with SNET, conducted a traffic stop on a Hyundai Elantra in the area of Shades Creek Parkway and Durham Drive in Birmingham.
Detectives subsequently executed a narcotics search warrant, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of narcotics.
Suspects:
- Jerrell Markeis Anderson, 21, was arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking. Anderson was issued a $10,000 bond and has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.
- Dajah Simone Truss, 19, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Truss was issued a $5,000 bond and has been released from the Jefferson County Jail.
