Narcotics Seizure

On April 14, 2025, due to an increase of narcotics complaints from citizens, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division conducted a proactive detail in the North Birmingham community.  Detectives executed a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 22nd Street North on a white Lexus Coupe; however, the driver of the vehicle attempted to elude detectives.  After a short distance, detectives were able to stop the vehicle.  As a result of the traffic stop, an arrest and seizure of narcotics were made.

Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, “I want to again thank our citizens for providing us with information that help to improve the quality of life for all.  We are very appreciative.  Let’s continue to show others how well we work together.”

The suspect has been identified as: Amarie Roderiques Seals, age, 43.  Seals has been charged with Drug Trafficking with no bond.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail

Narcotics seized: 56 grams of carisoprodol; and 6814 grams of methamphetamine (15 pounds)

Vehicle(s) seizes: White Lexus Coupe

Money seized: $5794.00
