One Arrested in Homicide at Pinson Business

Shortly after midnight on November 17, 2021, Jefferson County deputies were dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of Red Hollow Road in Pinson on reports of a person shot.  Upon arrival deputies found the body of a male employee at the business who had been shot multiple times.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

According to witnesses, both the offender and the victim were employees of the business.  This was the victim’s first day on the job.  The circumstances surrounding the reason for the shooting are still under investigation.

The suspect, 34-year-old Dexter Rashad Walker, turned himself into deputies at the scene.  He was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and is being charged with Murder.  There is currently no bond set on the charge.
