On Monday September 9, 2019 at approximately 5:57am Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to investigate a one car accident with injuries off the roadway in the 5300 block of Birmingport Road. Slyvan Springs Fire and Rescue arrived first and found the 72 year old female driver deceased behind the wheel. The vehicle was still in drive and the drivers foot was still on the accelerator. It is possible the driver suffered some type of medical incident before wrecking her vehicle. This traffic fatality is still under investigation.
