One Dead After Family Dispute is Settled with Gunfire

At approximately 1:15 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2021, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Dolly Drive in Western Jefferson County to investigate a report of a person shot.  According to reports, two male family members got into an argument over money, the fight turned physical.  One of the subjects produced a firearm and shot the other subject.  The wounded subject was transported to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives will continue the investigation and will work with the District Attorney’s Office to determine further action in this case.
