Shortly after 11:00 PM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to a location near the intersection of Gary Avenue and 49th Street in Fairfield to investigate a person who had been shot. They arrived at the scene to find a 27 year old male lying in the roadway. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives do not have anyone in custody at this time and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
