One Deceased After Single Vehicle Accident on Carson Road

Shortly before noon today, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 1700 block of Carson Road in Center Point to investigate a single vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, deputies found a silver Mercury that had left the roadway and traveled down a ravine, striking multiple trees.  One adult passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene, while a juvenile and the adult driver were transported to local hospitals.  The adult is reportedly in critical condition, while the condition of the juvenile is currently unknown.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team has responded to the location and is conducting an investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.  If you have any information regarding the wreck, please call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450, option 2.
