On Wednesday night, a deputy patrolling Centerpoint Parkway observed a small SUV vehicle with the rear hatch open, backed into a parking spot in front of Lee’s Pawn Shop.

When the offender saw the Deputy’s patrol car, they sped out of the parking lot at a high rate of speed. Deputies pursued the vehicle to the area near Roebuck Golf Course, but then lost sight of it.

It appears as though the offenders were about to tear the door off of the Pawn Shop, but were interrupted before they were able to complete the job.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 325-1450 or Crimestoppers at 254-7777.
