Person Found Shot on Valley Road

At approximately 10:30 PM on Thursday, April 8, 2021, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Valley Road near Fairfield Boulevard to investigate reports of a person shot.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 50 year old, black male who had been shot multiple times. The male was still inside of his 2015 Honda Accord. The vehicle was at a standstill blocking a lane of traffic.

The victim was transported by ambulance to UAB Hospital where his current condition is unknown.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing the investigation and are urging the public to contact them with any information they may have on the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
