On Friday, October 31, at approximately 1:52 a.m., deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 block of Echo Drive, Forestdale, Alabama to investigate a report of a person down. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 40-year-old male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Forestdale Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to UAB Hospital for treatment of his non-life- threatening injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the case is domestic related. There have been no arrests or charges filed in the case; however, the case is still on-going.
