Deputies are investigating a social media post that was alleged to have been a threat against Clay-Chalkville Middle School.

On Saturday April 14, deputies were made aware of a social media post that was being shared among students that claimed a student would be bringing a gun to the school today.

Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office School Resource Division investigated this case over the weekend. At least one student involved has been identified and is being questioned. There could be others involved that altered and re-posted the message.

Investigators have found no credible threat to the school, students, faculty or staff. Once completed, the results or the investigation will be presented to Juvenile Court for a determination of what, if any charges, are filed against those involved.
