Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrests

On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, detectives with the Jefferson County Vice and Narcotics Division, along with members from the SWAT team, executed a search warrant in the 5900 block of Mount Olive Road in Gardendale.  During the search, firearms and a large quantity of methamphetamines were seized.

Arrested in the search were, 47-year-old, Gary Hutchison, 32-year-old, Tony Hicks and 31-year-old, Jonathan Ellis.  Hutchison was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamines and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  His bonds total $255,000.00.  Hicks was charged with possession of illegal narcotics, with the intent to distribute.  His bond was set at $15,000.00.  Ellis was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamines.  His bond was set at $10,000.00.  All three suspects were booked into the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham.
