Sheriff’s Deputies Respond to Bomb Threat at Gardendale High School

On Thursday August 5, 2019 at approximately 5:00am the Sheriff’s Office was notified that a threat was made to bomb Gardendale High School.  Deputies from the School Resource Division responded with the Sheriff’s K9 unit and checked the entire school.  Sheriff’s Deputies, Gardendale Police and School Administrators are working together to make sure that the school is safe for students.  The start of school has been delayed until 10:30am.  Additional School Resource Officers will be on campus for the rest of the day.  The investigation into this threat is ongoing.
