Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Just before 4:00 pm today deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in the 2300 block of Forestdale Bend Road. Deputies arrived on the scene to find the adult male rider critically injured. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Information on the scene is that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it entered a curve on Forestdale Bend Road. The driver lost control of the motorcycle. It left the road, went through a ditch and struck a tree. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.

The name of the rider is withheld pending notification of family.
