Just after 5:00 pm today deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident in the 5300 block of Mud Creek Road near John’s Cut-Off Road in the Adger community.
The accident involved a Nissan 300ZX and an Acura. The cars had been traveling in opposite directions along Mud Creek Road. One of the cars crossed the center line and collided head on with the other.
The driver of the Nissan suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. An adult male passenger in the Nissan suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The driver and lone occupant of the Acura reported only minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. The name of the driver of the Nissan is withheld pending notification of family.
