Sheriff’s Office Investigating Overnight Shootings

Birmingham, AL 10/16/2016

Just before 5:00 this morning deputies were called to an area near the intersection of 2nd Place NW and Maple Way in Center Point to investigate a shooting. Deputies found two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds between the 2200 blocks of 1st Place and 2nd Place NW. Both were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Both men are expected to survive.

Information from the scene indicates that the two people shot had been involved in an argument that escalated to shots being fired.

The investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
