Birmingham, AL 05/02/2017
Just after 4:30 am this morning deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 2400 block of Forest Hill Drive near Forestdale.
They arrived to find both an adult female victim and an adult male victim suffering from cuts and stab wounds. Both victims were taken to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The adult male suspect remained on the scene and was taken into custody.
Information on the scene is that the victims are a father and his adult daughter. The suspect had lived at the home with them for several years. He became upset about being asked to move out earlier in the week.
This morning he waited outside the home and attacked the daughter with a machete as she was leaving for work. Her father heard her call for help and wrestled the machete away from the suspect.
The name of the suspect is withheld pending formal charges of Attempted Murder and Assault 2nd Degree.
