Shooting in Dora Kills One

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a male who had been shot inside his home in the 6500 Block of Snowville Brent Road in Dora.  The victim was a 22 year old male who was inside his home cooking.  According to witnesses, multiple shots were fired and then a vehicle sped away from the scene.  The victim was struck by one of the bullets.  He woke other family members in the home, telling them he had been shot.  The victim was transported to Walker Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
