Shooting in Fairfield Leaves Female Injured

At approximately 1:00 PM today, August 31, 2020, Jefferson County Deputies responded to a second shooting in the Fairfield community, just as they arrived to investigate a shooting at Western Hills Mall.  A 31 year old female was shot at an apartment complex in the 5000 block of Myron Massey Boulevard.  According to reports, the victim and another female were arguing about a Facebook post.  The second female,  was joined by a male,  who opened fire on the victim. The victim was struck in both arms by gunfire.  She was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

During the investigation, detectives interviewed the male who admitted to shooting the victim.  30 year old Corterius Kizzard was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.  He is charged with Assault 1st Degree and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle.  His bonds total $30,000.
