Shooting in Fairfield Leaves One Dead

At approximately 11:10 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a person who had been shot at a convenience store at the intersection of Milstead Road and Woodward Road in Fairfield.  Deputies arrived on the scene to find a grey Dodge Charger that had rolled into the back of a Ford Explorer.  Inside of the vehicle was a deceased male who had been shot.

According to witnesses, a Ford Explorer was parked at the store’s gas pumps.  The Charger pulled in behind the Explorer as if they would be refueling the vehicle.  Shots were fired between subjects inside of the Charger.  A black male from inside of the Charger left the scene on foot.  There is no danger to the public suspected.
