Shooting Investigation

Birmingham, AL 11/29/2017

Just before 4:45 this evening deputies were called to a barber shop in the 1600 block of Center Point Parkway to investigate a report of a robbery and shooting.

The adult male victim called to report that he had been robbed and shot at the location. The suspect fled on foot prior to the arrival of deputies.

Once on scene, deputies located the victim and identified him as an off duty Barber Commission Inspector. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing black pants and a blue shirt.
