Sheriff’s detectives are conducting a shooting investigation after the report of a 19-year-old man shot this morning in Center Point.

Just after 7:00 am this morning deputies responded to a shooting complaint in the 1800 block of Martinique Drive NE in Center Point. A caller reported hearing two gunshots and then seeing a man with a gun in some bushes near the apartments.

Deputies arrived to find a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies are currently searching the area for the shooter. The motive is unknown.
