Shooting Investigation

Shortly after 1:00 P.M. today, deputies responded to Children’s Hospital Emergency Room to investigate a report of an 18-year-old male, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim’s injury may have been self-inflicted due to the mishandling of a weapon. The victim’s injury was not considered to be life-threatening.
