Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting at a convenience store in Center Point.
Just after 5:30 this morning deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Jet Pep convenience store in the 2200 of Center Point Parkway. They arrived to find an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Information on the scene is that the victim had just opened the store for business. He was approached by a black male suspect who shot him in an attempt to rob the store. The suspect fled on foot and is at large.
