Single Vehicle Accident in Warrior Results in Fatality

At approximately 6:20 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2020, Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to the 8500 block of Rouse Road in Warrior to investigate a single car accident. A 2014 Nissan Rogue had left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier. The 30 year old female driver suffered fatal injuries during the accident. Two children, ages 10 and 12 and a dog were also in the vehicle. The children are being treated at Children’s Hospital for what are thought to be minor injuries and the dog is being treated at a local veterinarian for broken bones sustained in the accident  Witnesses on the scene attempted to administer first aid to the deceased victim but their efforts were unsuccessful

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s START Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
