Student Taken into Custody for making Terrorist Threats

On January 29, 2019 at approximately 9:15pm Pleasant Grove High School Administrators notified the Sheriff’s School Resource Division that a student had made a threat to shoot up the school.  The student made a social media post on Snapchat stating that he was going to shoot up the school.  The post showed him posing with a rifle.  The student was identified as a 13 year old.  School Resource Officers took the child into custody at his residence at 6:45am this morning.  Deputies were able to locate and take possession of his weapons.  There is no threat to the school at this time.  Prosecution will proceed through Family Court.
