On November 21, 2016, several burglaries were reported to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the McCalla area. The locations of the break-ins ranged from Moore Cemetery Road to Bell Hill Road to Lou George Loop. All of them were reported to have occurred between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm on that day. Items stolen included electronics, money, and guns.

A team of sheriff’s detectives, patrol personnel, and evidence technicians began working to solve these cases. A cell phone believed dropped by a suspect was recovered at one of the burglary locations. Information from the phone helped detectives develop a suspect.

Jessie Jacolby Robertson remains at large. He is believed to be in the Bessemer area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. As always with Crime Stoppers you do not have to give your name and you could receive a cash reward if the tip leads to an arrest.
