Birmingham, AL 02/21/2014
At about 1:30 am on Sunday, February 12, deputies responded to a burglary alarm at Lee’s Pawn in the 2000 block of Center Point Parkway and arrived to find that the backdoor had been forced open and several items had been stolen from inside the store. Among those items stolen were several firearms.
Video surveillance inside the store captured images of two suspects as they moved through the shop taking the guns. These images were shared with media partners last week in an effort to aid in identifying the suspects.
The suspects entered the building through a lower level in the area of a vacant dentist office. The dentist office had been vacant for several years, but detectives learned that there was a functioning surveillance system still in place.

Third Suspect
A review of the footage revealed a third, previously unseen, burglary suspect.
The ATF is assisting with the investigation and is offering the reward in the amount of up to $2,500, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total reward of up to $5,000. This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearm industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
