Three Killed and One Injured in Overnight Crash

Just before 10:00 PM on June 17, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 7800 block of Blackie Curren Road in Western Jefferson County, on a report of a single vehicle car accident.  Deputies arrived to find a black Honda Civic that had lost control and crashed into a ravine.  The female driver of the vehicle, along with one male and one female passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.  A fourth occupant was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.  The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is confirming the identities of those killed in the accident.
