At approximately 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2020, Jefferson County detectives from the START team were called to Carson Road near Pine Hill Road to assist Fultondale Police Department with a traffic accident that resulted in a death.
According to reports, a SUV had been reported as driving erratically in the area. Moments later, a vehicle matching the description of the reported vehicle collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey. The driver of the Odyssey was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Tahoe suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
