On Wednesday January 15, 2020 at 4:40pm Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a traffic accident on Pleasant Grove road near Cypress Circle. Deputies arrived and found a vehicle that had left the roadway and went down a ravine suffering heavy damage. The vehicle was traveling north on Pleasant Grove road when it left the roadway. The female driver was the only occupant of the vehicle was deceased on the scene. Family members began to look for the victim when she did not return home on time. Family members located the vehicle and notified the Sheriff’s Office. The preliminary investigation reveals that the driver may have fallen asleep while driving. The victim’s body was released to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
