The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident.
Just before 2:00 pm today deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident on Old Springville Road at Paradise Valley in Clay. They arrived to find an SUV on fire with one person still inside.
Information on the scene is that the SUV was speeding and driving recklessly. It collided head on with another vehicle and caught on fire. The driver was unable to escape. There were no other injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating. The name of the victim is withheld pending notification of family.
