At 2:00 pm yesterday deputies were called to a home in the 7200 block of Taylor’s Ferry Road to investigate a report of a burglary in progress.

They arrived and spoke to the 60 year old male victim who told them that he had and his brother had been driving by his house when they saw an unfamiliar motorcycle in the driveway. He went inside and discovered a man and a woman inside burglarizing the home.

The victim went back outside and told his brother to call the Sheriff’s Office. The female suspect came running out of the house and asked him not to call because she had outstanding warrants. The pair of suspects tried to escape on the motorcycle, but the victim pushed it over. The male suspect attacked the victim with his fists. He then pulled out a knife and threatened the victim and his brother before he and the female ran into the woods behind the residence. Neither the victim nor his brother were injured.
