On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 4:02 p.m., deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office along with Palmerdale Fire & Rescue responded to 3906 Turkey Creek Road in Pinson, Alabama to investigate a report of two siblings that went under water in Turkey Creek.
Upon arrival, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies, Palmerdale Fire & Rescue and citizens joined in the search for the two children. The children were later discovered and transported to UAB Hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the children were there with their mother near the bank when the children went under the water.
