At 1:53 AM today, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Snowville Brent Road in North Jefferson County. A nearby neighbor reported that something was on fire but was unable to identify the cause. Firefighters with Bagley Fire Department initially responded and contacted the Sheriff’s Office to advise that the blaze was the result of a car crash. Officials confirmed that there were two occupants in the vehicle and both were deceased. The identities of the victims are unknown at this time.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was activated and will be conducting the investigation into this incident. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will be conducting an investigation to determine the identities of the deceased.
