On December 29, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 200 block of Haversham Drive, at Summit Ridge Apartments, to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 29-year-old female victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Center Point Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene and transported the victim to UAB Hospital for treatment for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies also discovered that an 18-year-old male victim suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was transported by a personal vehicle to a local hospital. Reportedly, the victim’s injuries were not life threatening.
