The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports that at approximately 5:25 PM today, deputies responded to the 3800 block of Banks Street in Brighton to investigate a report of a person down. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult female victim lying in the street, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Further investigation revealed that there was an adult male victim lying in a room of the house, also suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue along with Advantage EMS transported the victims to area hospitals. The case is still under investigation.
