UPDATE: Arrest Made in Gardendale High School Bomb Threat

Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 16 year old male for making a bomb threat to Gardendale High School.  Sheriff’s investigators were able to identify the caller, locate him and take him into custody.  The child has been transported to Juvenile Detention where he will be charged with making Terrorist Threats.  This incident began this morning 9/5/19 at approximately 5:00am.  Jefferson County Deputies, Gardendale Police and School Administrators worked to make sure the school was secure.  This threat caused a delay in school opening and a disruption of school activities.  We will investigate any threat to school safety and arrest those individuals who are responsible.
