The identity of the driver in the fatal traffic fatality on Tuesday October 1, 2019 has been identified as 37 year old Alfara Franklin. On Tuesday October 1, 2019 at 8:04 pm the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate a fatal traffic accident in the 5600 block of 5th Street North Lipscomb Al. Deputies found a one car accident where the driver was deceased. The body of the driver was burned beyond recognition. On October 8, 2019 we were informed by the Coroners office that the remains had been positively identified as Alfara Franklin.
