The body that was exhumed on Friday October 21, 2022, has been identified as 32-year-old Zachary Coates. This death is now being investigated as a homicide. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Investigators have made an arrest in connection with this case. 39-year-old Christal Elaine Skelton has been charged with Abuse of A Corpse and is being held in the Jefferson County jail on a $300,000.00 bond. This investigation is still active, and more arrest and charges are possible.
