On February 20, 2024, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office in the Bessemer Cutoff issued a warrant against Oscar Espinoza Guadarrama for the murder of 19-month-old Gabriel Adriel Alonso Romero. After reviewing the case submitted by Jefferson County Sheriff’s detectives, they determined there was sufficient evidence to issue a warrant for the charge of Capital Murder. Guadarrama has been held in the Jefferson County Jail in Bessemer since February 18th. He is currently being held with no bond.
